Haven Pharmacy have teamed up with Beaumont Foundation for Knitivity 2018

Beaumont Hospital Foundation, the charity which works to encourage private donations to one of Ireland’s largest and busiest public hospitals, has launched its 2018 ‘Knitivity’ Christmas knitting campaign.

Knitivity invites people countrywide to knit one, or all, of its festive knitting projects – which include patterns for both the experienced and the novice knitter – and sell them locally or return them for sale to the hospital or through any Haven Pharmacy!

The completed knits will be sold in attractive branded gift bags, accompanied by a card identifying the name and county of origin of the knitter to acknowledge and personalise their contribution.

The price range for the completed items will be from €5 to €40 and the knits can be bought from the hospital, online at www.beaumontfundraising.ie and from the 48 Haven Pharmacies nationwide. Beaumont Hospital Foundation is encouraging knitters to sell their items locally at Christmas fairs and other festive events and remit the funds generated to the hospital. When people sign-up to ‘Knitivity’, they receive patterns, ID cards on which to provide their name and county, fabric sew on labels and a freepost mailing label. Beaumont Hospital Foundation is encouraging knitters to return their completed work to any Haven Pharmacy where possible to save on postage.

Pictured at the launch of Knitivity are Mother & Daughter Duo Geraldine Plunkett & Mary McEvoy fondly known as Mary & Biddy in Glenroe, along with Sophie Harte from Haven Pharmacy Dohertys Beaumont and Keith Brennan, Chairman of Haven Pharmacy.

The festive items make wonderful gifts and 100% of the sales price will be returned to Beaumont Hospital. If you would like to get involved you can register to receive a Knitivity pack on www.beaumontfundraising.ie, you can request one by phone on 01 – 809 2457 , or you can pick one up in your local Haven Pharmacy www.havenpharmacy.ie/find-your-haven/
